Behind The Scenes (Dollar Vigilante)
No one knew what The Anarchists would be, or how it would turn out. I didn’t even know I was going to be in it.
As a series, they did a great job in creating awareness for anarcho-capitalism.
But, somehow over the span of filming and producing the series, the history and purpose of Anarchapulco became focused on the lives of John and Lily – whom I barely knew at all, as well as Nathan Freeman. And, apparently Nathan’s wife Lisa, who was someone I didn’t know was involved with any of it at all until I watched The Anarchists.
In this personal vlog post, I get into my take on The Anarchists. What they got right, and what they got epically wrong, or rather, things I remember differently – for instance, the story of Jessica.
What was clear to me as I watched the show, is that all the people in the doc adhered to the anarcho-capitalist/voluntarist principles they believed in. Yes there were threats, there was a murder and a lot of drama but the police were never called and we just attempted to deal with it all on our own.
For me, it was also a trip down memory lane. And, a reminder of how much I’ve personally grown spiritually, emotionally, and physically since those first crazy Anarchapulco events.
All I can add is that Anarchapulco 2023 will be far less drama and better than ever! Get your tickets now for the main event on February 5-10. And make sure you don’t miss out on Agoraforko from February 11-18 – a brand new second week of decentralized fun (Included in VIP ticket or separate ticket required).
