MTV - ETERNITY DANCE AWARDS
Dreamscape were host to the MTV Eternity Dance Awards which was featured on MTV over two weekends.
Eternity Launch Party
Eternity celebrate the launch of the magazine into the newsagents with a line-up that people couldn't believe, so much so the attendance on the night was very poor, even-so it was an amazing night and although we lost a fortune, it was worth every penny, every DJ turned up apart from two 'no name DJ's' who lived to regret it. Despite taking no where near enough on the door to pay the DJ's everyone was paid in full and the after party in Huddersfield afterwards still went ahead and was totally amazing. Surprise DJ on the night was no other than 'Laurent Garnier' who had flown in specially to perform at the famous "AfterDark - Orbit" nightclub in Morley, we picked him up after his set and drove him down to Sheffield much to the bemusement of the Orbit organsiers.
Universe visit by the RAF Red Devils
Great to have friends in high places. My RAF buddy's agreed to to a parachute drop over the Universe event which Eternity Magazine were banned from attending due to MIXMAG becoming the main sponsor after being acquired by EMAP - who we turned down. We said we would never sell out - and we never did!

Another Crazy Eternity Party
Anyone recognise where this was taken?
RAF Red Devils Visit Universe
In addition to the Red Devils flying into the adjoining field with coloured smoke trailing behind them with the Eternity Banner, we also flew a bi-plane around the event for over an hour also pulling an Eternity banner. Just in case anyone missed wither of those events because they were too wasted or in a tent jumping around to the music, we put a 40 sheet advertising trailer on the only two roads into the event so every single person that attended saw our name, it was the only way to get to the event. I'm sure that our marketing spend on this event was way less than the main sponsor, needless to say there were a few shocked and horrified faces as the Red Devils appeared, I was in the VIP tent at the time watching for a reaction :-)

Eternity Party Bus at World Dance
Brings back great memories although driving from Wakefield, West Yorkshire to Lydd in Kent was something of a challenge, the bus went a maximum of around 50mph, on the hills would drop to around 10mph and result in queues of traffic following behind.
Eternity Bus Back @ Home
On one occasion on the way back home after an all night event the bus ran out of fuel. Not an easy task to deal with when you haven't slept for 48 hours. We had to remove the floor panels and prime the pump, its not a good idea to run out of fuel on a diesel vehicle. Needless to say the whole situation resulted in fits of laughter and eventually we made it on our way.
Eternity Magazine Party
Giving it large!
MTV ETERNITY DANCE AWARDS
Murray Beetson (RIP) quite rightly wins the best Promoter award for Dreamscape at the MTV Eternity Dance Awards seen here receiving his award from Eternity Publisher / Editor Paul Boote. Also in the shot the back of MJ Majika announcing the award to the crowd, winner of best MC.
Murray is sadly missed as a promoter and a very close personal friend. The Rave scene changed after his departure and was never the same again!

Pete Tong Meets Eternity
We do have a picture somewhere in the archives, I need to pull it out. Here is a reflection of how the interview with Pete Tong went, I guess we may have been a little unfair at the time, coming for a Hardcore background I might not have been the best person to conduct the interview. Full respect to him though, he has gone from strength to strength and is highly regarded, often listen to his shows on Radio One and fails to amaze with some wicked tunes
"Hi Eternity.... You hard Bastards... Love Pete Tong"

Eternity Publisher / Editor @ Dreamscape
Eternity were rarely found in the VIP area, maybe briefly to have a quick chat with the DJ's. Eternity Publisher / Editor was usually found on the Dance-floor, normally in front of the speakers. Brings back memories of a DJ Randall set at Dreamscape, I was lost in the music dancing in front of the stage, I remember Murray Beetson (Organiser) looking down into the crowd and spotting me. Randal was playing a wicked set, the next thing I remember was Randall dropping the most deep baseline, it hit me so hard I literally fell on the floor, I looked up to see Murray absolutely pissing himself. Just another great event in my mind!
