Help Alina With Brain Cancer Support & Return Home (ARTICLE)

Tim Fisher was ‘back in the day’ someone who helped with the circulation of Eternity Magazine so it’s fitting that we should repay him for his help by helping him raise the money he needs for his wife who is suffering with brain cancer, stage 4, Glioblastoma.

Jim Morgan, long term friend to Tim and Alina, continues….

I am raising funds for the lovely Alina as she is in surgery and has been in hospital for 2 weeks now after being rushed into A&E with a mass on her brain. She had been suffering from severe headaches for several weeks which got steadily worse.

After CT scans , MRI’s and biopsy she has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma GMB4 which is a malignant cancer of the brain and very aggressive. She has undergone surgery to remove some of the tumour but now she is facing Radiotherapy and then Chemotherapy.

Alina and her husband Tim are based in China and have been teaching English & Art to students for the last few years and they both have big beautiful kind hearts and would do anything for other people.

The next few weeks will tell how successful the operation to remove the tumour went and she will then start radiotherapy followed by chemotherapy.

The reason I am writing this is that the bills and expenses are mounting up for them and they are not sure how they will cope and neither can work anymore. They have medical bills for the treatments so far and additional fees for Genome tests £5k , further treatments for Optune Electrotherapy 1 month treatment is £20k for 1 month as well as costs for living expenses, accommodation, flights, trains to get to another hospital in China.

They are also desperate to come back to Europe to see Alina’s family and friends after the treatment and not sure whether they will be able to afford this after all the medical treatment and depending how that all goes. She is a beautiful strong woman and will no doubt be fighting this disease hard and together with Tim as they are such a supportive couple for each other.

What represents who she is and how humble , 8 years ago she had previously had a similar scare with a thyroid nodule removed which was benign and she said ' Think of it like this , I already had a second chance of life " .

I am a long term friend of theirs and they mean the world to me and I am just trying to do anything that I can to help them to raise a little money to support this very special couple and anything small you could contribute is deeply appreciated.
